ABOUT KASTRICK
Software that still makes sense after launch.
Kastrick designs and builds websites, web applications, backend systems, APIs, infrastructure and developer tooling. The goal is not to freeze a project at version one — it is to leave behind a system that can be understood, operated and changed.
KASTRICK / IN PRACTICE
BUILD
Focused websites through connected software and backend systems.
HANDOFF
Project-specific deliverables transfer according to the agreed scope and payment terms.
CONTINUE
Maintenance and future engineering can continue on the same system when agreed.
PROVE
Kastrick builds independent software projects with the tools it creates, including this website and Roavio with Nextjs Engine.
HOW THE WORK IS SHAPED
A few useful rules beat a giant mission statement.
01 / SOURCE
Keep the code understandable
Launch day is not the only useful moment. The codebase should still be navigable when a bug, migration or new feature appears later.
02 / SCOPE
Make the real problem visible
Goals, constraints, existing systems and references are more useful than an oversized feature list. Scope should describe the job before it prices the job.
03 / CONTINUITY
Extend instead of automatically rewriting
When the existing architecture still serves the job, future work can continue from it. A rewrite should have a reason, not simply be the default next step.
OWNERSHIP + HANDOFF
Know what leaves with the project.
The legal agreement is authoritative, but the practical split is straightforward: project-specific work can transfer to the client after the agreed payment obligations are complete; Kastrick's pre-existing reusable technology stays Kastrick's; client data stays the client's; third-party components keep their original licenses.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES
Custom work can transfer
After full payment, the Terms provide for ownership of custom deliverables created specifically for the project, where applicable to the agreed scope.
CLIENT DATA
Your data remains yours
Where Kastrick operates backend, hosting or database systems, the Terms state that Client Data remains the property of the Client.
KASTRICK IP
Reusable systems stay reusable
Pre-existing frameworks, libraries, deployment systems, internal tools and reusable engineering components remain Kastrick intellectual property.
THIRD PARTY
Licenses still apply
Open-source and third-party software keeps the ownership and licensing rules set by its respective authors and providers.
This section is a plain-language orientation, not a replacement for the agreement attached to a project. Exact deliverables, ownership, pricing and maintenance scope are defined by the applicable proposal/quotation and Kastrick Terms.
Read the Terms of Service →THE BUILD FLOW
From request to something you can keep.
This is the default shape, not a ritual. Small work can skip stages; larger systems may repeat them as individual milestones.
Request
You send the real problem, current context and enough constraints to avoid guessing before the work is even scoped.
ENGINEERING IN PUBLIC
We build with the tools we create.
This website and Roavio are built with Nextjs Engine, our own frontend tool. These independent builds put the tool to work on real interfaces. RBE is our separate backend engine project, and project technology is chosen to fit the work.

Compile interface behavior before shipping it.
Schema compilation, server-first rendering, scheduling, EngineSEO, EngineMarkdown, EngineDebug, EngineScroll, graphics and compatibility planning.

Make backend authority explicit.
REL/RELC source roles, immutable Runtime Images, managed Service execution, isolated container work, quickDB, Video Manager and Cloud Node infrastructure.

Start with the context, not a perfect specification.
Explain what exists, what is not working, what needs to change and any constraints you already know. The request flow is designed to turn that into a useful project brief.
